Airing as Episode 2 on July 9, 2025
Episode Description: "The five stages of grief set in for Dee as Frank lies on his death. Meanwhile the Guys plot their new path forward by pitching their business ventures to Philadelphia's elite"
What we know:
- This episode was filmed, in part, on November 21, 2024.
- Pictures from the filming of this episode were first shared by Imani Hakim on December 24, 2024 on Instagram. See the blog post from that reveal for a more in-depth discussion on what we can deduce from her photos.
- There are scenes in Paddy's, Charlie & Frank's Apartment, Dee's Apartment, and exterior locations, such as a warehouse complex, an alley, and a ballroom.
- A scene takes place in Paddy's with the Gang, minus Frank, tuning in to some kind of news:
- Mac, Charlie, and Dennis are paired together at an event that puts them in tuxes:
This moment is spotted in the season trailer!
And we see them a little later, minus the bowties
Plus a body...
- Frank (in a coma) is...made of cake?
- IMDb Credits an actress as "Fake Dee" for this episode. (This is now conflated due to Frank is in a Coma airing as Episode 2, but Fake Dee originally belonged to this episode)
Predictions:
- The Paddy's scene we have is the cold open, in which the Gang end up connecting two pieces of news/media to concoct the idea of whatever scheme is taking place
- Assuming "Coma Frank" being made of cake is part of the plot and not a very creative props move, that this idea comes from/is a joke on the "Is it Cake?" phenomenon
- The guys are at some kind of fundraiser/charity event for Frank's "coma", perhaps connected to one of his businesses in an attempt to milk some sympathy money out of wealthy investors
- The guys get roughed up somehow, hence losing their bowties at some point between the event and Charlie's apartment
Questions:
- What is actual Frank doing this episode if they needed cake to be lying in the hospital bed?
- Why would Dee need a fake version of herself? Is she connected to (what seems like) the A plot? Or is she inspired by Frank having a fake version of himself and going off on a completely separate plot?
- Will the Gang get to eat Coma Frank in the episode? Or is the sliced cake in the photo a post-wrapping moment?
